The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of experience in estimating, particularly for restaurant, retail, and hospitality projects. This role requires exceptional attention to detail, expertise in bid preparation, and the ability to collaborate effectively with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams.

Responsibilities Include But Are Not Limited To

• Review and analyze construction plans, specifications, and documents to develop accurate and competitive bids.
• Solicit and evaluate subcontractor proposals and vendor quotes for accuracy and completeness.
• Prepare detailed quantity takeoffs, cost estimates, and bid proposals, ensuring alignment with project scopes.
• Collaborate with Project Managers to ensure seamless transitions from preconstruction to execution phases.
• Utilize estimating software, Procore, and Microsoft Excel to create and maintain bid documents and databases.
• Identify project risks and opportunities, offering value-engineering options to optimize cost and quality.
• Maintain strong relationships with subcontractors and suppliers for competitive pricing and reliable partnerships.
• Stay updated on market trends, labor costs, and material pricing to ensure accurate estimates.
• Attend pre-bid meetings and site visits as needed to gather critical project information.
  
  

The Ideal Candidate Should Possess

• Minimum of 5 years of experience as an Estimator in commercial construction, with a focus on high-end restaurant, retail, or hospitality projects.
• Proficiency in Procore (mandatory) and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced environment, meeting tight deadlines.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for collaborating with teams and stakeholders.
• A proactive, results-driven mindset committed to delivering excellence.
• Must reside within a 30-mile radius of the Bonsall office.
