Job summary

Delano Miami Beach, a flagship luxury hotel, seeks a Host to warmly welcome guests, manage the seating process, and support the front-of-house team.

Under the guidance of the Head Host, you will coordinate reservations, waitlists, and seating, communicate wait times, and help maintain a polished, efficient dining environment. This role emphasizes hospitality standards and guest experiences in a fast-paced upscale setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Experience in customer service or hospitality in upscale dining.
• Strong front-of-house knowledge: reservations, seating, service.
• Excellent verbal and written communication in English.
• Able to multitask and stay calm under pressure.
• Physically able to stand 8 hours; lift up to 20 lbs.
• Neat, clean appearance and adherence to uniform guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Greet and welcome guests warmly and professionally.
• Manage reservations, waitlists, and seating assignments.
• Coordinate with servers and kitchen staff for smooth guest flow.
• Communicate wait times and seating availability accurately.
• Train new hosts and share service standards.
• Maintain host station and entrance area.
• Monitor guest feedback and report issues promptly.
• Adhere to health, safety, and restaurant policies.
• Support team morale and collaboration.
• Complete daily reports and logs.
