Job summary

Hyatt Regency Lost Pines Resort and Spa in Texas is seeking a skilled Painter to maintain and refresh the property's interior and exterior surfaces.

You will perform painting, staining, refinishing, and surface preparation across guest-facing areas and back-of-house spaces, support renovation and new construction projects, and work outdoors across the resort grounds, ensuring safety and Hyatt quality standards.

Qualifications

• 4–6 years of experience in commercial, hospitality, residential, or industrial painting.
• Knowledge of painting techniques, materials, and surface preparation.
• Experience in drywall repairs, texture and finishing.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects.
• Comfort working outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Weekends and holiday availability is required.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality craftsmanship.
• Must be able to lift, push or pull up to 50 lbs.
• Must be able to work heights in excess of 15 feet.
• Must be at least 18 years of age and have a valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
• Previous experience in a hotel/service industry is an asset

Responsibilities

• Perform painting, staining, refinishing, and surface preparation throughout the resort.
• Maintain the appearance and condition of hotel buildings, structures, and outdoor spaces.
• Assist with painting needs for renovation, improvement, and new construction projects.
• Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, patching, and priming as needed.
• Ensure all work is completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with Hyatt quality standards.
• Collaborate with the Engineering and Facilities team to maintain a welcoming and well-maintained environment for guests and colleagues.
• Other duties as assigned.
