Job summary

Markent Personnel is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead luxury custom residential construction projects in the Birmingham, MI area from pre-construction through closeout. You will drive schedules, manage budgets, coordinate subcontractors, and maintain client service across multiple ongoing bespoke homes.

The ideal candidate is organized, proactive, detail-oriented, and comfortable in an owner-facing role.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of project management experience in residential construction.
• Luxury custom home project experience preferred.
• Ability to manage multiple active projects, budgets, and schedules.
• Experience collaborating with homeowners, architects, and designers.
• Strong understanding of construction sequencing and site logistics.
• Ability to read plans, specs, and finish details.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead custom residential projects from kickoff to closeout.
• Develop and maintain schedules and look-ahead plans.
• Coordinate subcontractors, vendors, and inspectors.
• Monitor budgets, costs, and change orders.
• Communicate with homeowners, architects, designers, and trade partners.
• Ensure safety, quality, and on-site efficiency.
• Review drawings and field conditions to prevent delays.
• Document progress, approvals, and change orders.
• Travel to local Metro Detroit job sites as needed.
