Maison De Vision is a boutique optometry practice in New Jersey seeking an experienced Optical Stylist & Sales Associate who is passionate about fashion, patient care, and helping people look and see their best.

In this part-time on-site role, you will guide patients through frame selections, perform fittings and assist with eyewear expertise while delivering luxury service and a welcoming experience. Prior optical experience and strong communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Previous optical experience is required.
• Part time onsite role with potential to become full-time.
• Strong knowledge of ophthalmic lenses, lens materials, coatings, and optical terminology.
• Experience with frame adjustments, fittings, dispensing, and troubleshooting eyewear.
• Familiarity with vision insurance plans (e.g., VSP, EyeMed).
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with attentive listening and respectful service.
• Comfort with point-of-sale systems and basic computer skills.
• Detail-oriented, organized, and capable of multitasking in a fast-paced environment.
• Self-starter with polished taste and positive spirit; team player; luxury retail experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Checking in patients and checking patients out.
• Pre-test and support patient care with precision and empathy.
• Manage daily administrative flow.
• Provide individualized styling and optical guidance to help customers select frames and lenses that fit their prescription, lifestyle, and aesthetic preference.
• Educate patients on premium lens options, coatings, and specialty products.
• Perform frame adjustments, fittings, dispensing, and minor repairs to ensure optimal comfort and vision.
• Verify prescriptions, take accurate optical measurements (PD, OC heights, etc.), and assist with order processing.
• Explain vision insurance benefits and maximize patient value while maintaining transparency.
• Support optical merchandising by maintaining attractive, organized, and well-stocked frame displays.
• Help achieve sales goals while delivering an exceptional patient experience.
