Job summary

British American Household Staffing is seeking a full-time, live-in housekeeper for a private Upper East Side residence in New York City. The role focuses on meticulous cleaning, laundry, ironing, organization, light cooking, and ensuring the home is maintained to the highest standards.

Private housing is provided for the housekeeper, with flexible schedule Monday–Friday 8am–4pm, and potential for live-in Domestic Couple.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 8 years of professional housekeeping experience with verifiable references.
• Experience in formal private homes and high-end residences preferred.
• Ability to clean, launder, iron, and manage pantry/storage.
• Excellent English communication and driving in New York City.
• Willingness to wear a uniform.

Responsibilities

• Overall cleaning and upkeep of the 2,800 sq. ft. apartment.
• Daily housekeeping, including vacuuming and dusting.
• Meal preparation and light cooking.
• House management, inventory, and vendor coordination.
• Driving the principal for errands or appointments.
