Job summary

The Bristal in Englewood, NJ is seeking a part-time Utility Dishwasher to support a busy kitchen team in a luxury assisted living community. The role focuses on cleaning, dishwashing, and plating areas to ensure smooth meal service while upholding safety standards.

Weekend shifts are required, with Sundays and Mondays 4p-8p and Tuesdays and Thursdays 8a-12p, on-site. Previous restaurant or healthcare food service experience is a plus, and candidates must be able to lift and work in a fast-paced

Qualifications

• Experience in a busy kitchen or food preparation area.
• Experience working in a restaurant, catering facility, hospital, hospitality or healthcare food service industry is a plus.
• Must be able to operate in a fast-paced environment.
• Physical ability for strenuous cleaning and lifting.
• Ability to understand the English language and follow instructions with minimal supervision.
• Proven ability to follow all rules, regulations, policies and sanitary standards.

Responsibilities

• Cleaning, prepping and washing dishware, silverware, glassware, pots and pans.
• Ensuring chemical dispensers are working and cleaning supplies are adequate with safety equipment.
• Sweeping and mopping floors as directed.
• Emptying and cleaning garbage from kitchen to dumpster.
• Assisting with heavy lifting.
• Daily cleaning of steam kettle, grill, range tops and stainless steel surfaces.
• Monthly cleaning of all kitchen surfaces and appliances.
• Assisting in the dining room during meal service.
