Job summary

The Jewelry Washer at Tiffany & Co. in Whippany, NJ performs cleaning, inspection, and processing of jewelry merchandise using wash lines, ultrasonic cleaners, steam equipment, and other approved tools.

This role supports multiple Product Services teams to maintain production flow and quality standards before servicing or fulfillment. You will collaborate with polishing, hand engraving, stock repair, and distribution teams, ensuring productivity, equipment readiness, and a safe work environment

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• 1–2 years in a technical, manufacturing, production, or servicing environment.
• Strong attention to detail with commitment to quality and craftsmanship.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively and collaborate in a team environment.
• Follow detailed procedures, learn new processes, and adapt to changing priorities.
• Ability to multitask while maintaining accuracy in a fast-paced setting.
• Work independently with minimal supervision while supporting cross-functional operations.
• Overtime, evenings, weekends, and peak periods may be required.
• Ability to lift up to 35 pounds, occasionally up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Clean and process Tiffany & Co. merchandise using wash line systems, ultrasonic units, steam equipment, and other approved technologies.
• Ensure merchandise is processed efficiently while upholding Tiffany & Co.'s quality and craftsmanship.
• Inspect merchandise during cleaning to identify defects or servicing concerns before release.
• Maintain departmental productivity and accurately process workload to support turnaround goals.
• Track production activity and complete required documentation for reporting and workflow visibility.
• Partner with Polishing, Hand Engraving, Stock Repair, and other teams to support daily production needs.
• Provide logistical and administrative support to move merchandise through servicing and distribution.
• Adapt to changing priorities and support across Product Services and Distribution as needed.
• Maintain organized workstations and staging areas to promote flow and inventory control.
• Operate, monitor, and maintain wash line, ultrasonic, and steam equipment; report maintenance concerns.
• Monitor cleaning supplies and communicate replenishment needs to leadership.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity, quality, and equipment performance.
• Perform quality inspections to verify cleanliness and readiness for subsequent operations.
• Escalate quality concerns or processing discrepancies to leadership.
• Maintain production records and ensure compliance with procedures.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment; use PPE and operate equipment safely.
• Report safety concerns or equipment malfunctions to leadership and support teamwork.
