Job summary

Crescent Hotels & Resorts seeks a Hotel Director of Operations for a premier New York luxury, full-service property. The role partners with the General Manager to drive an elevated guest experience, mentor department leaders, and enforce operational excellence across front-of-house functions.

Ideal candidates bring hands-on leadership, emotional intelligence, and a passion for authentic luxury hospitality, with a track record of shaping hotel culture and long-term reputation in the NY luxury

Qualifications

• 5+ years of progressive luxury hotel operations experience in full-service or luxury hotels.
• 3+ years of senior Rooms Division or Operations leadership in a New York luxury hotel.
• Experience leading teams in union hotel environments preferred.
• Strong financial acumen including budgeting and forecasting.
• Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a highly visible operational leader and ambassador of the guest experience, ensuring service delivery reflects the hotel’s luxury positioning.
• Partner with the General Manager to shape the hotel’s operational identity, culture, service philosophy, and guest journey.
• Foster a high-performing, engaged, service-oriented culture through leadership, mentorship, and development of department heads.
• Lead Front Office and Rooms Division functions including Guest Services, Concierge, Housekeeping, Laundry, and Telephone Operations.
• Implement quality assurance processes, service recovery, guest satisfaction initiatives, and audits.
