Job summary

The Ben, West Palm Beach, seeks a Maintenance Engineering Technician to uphold luxury standards by maintaining equipment, rooms, and building systems. You will perform preventive maintenance, respond to work orders, and collaborate with the Engineering team to resolve issues while delivering professional guest service.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• HVAC, electrical, plumbing, or related certifications are a plus but not required.
• Previous maintenance/engineering experience preferred.
• Hotel Engineering or Maintenance experience preferred.
• Preventive maintenance experience in guest rooms or commercial buildings.
• Experience responding to work orders and guest maintenance requests.
• Basic HVAC troubleshooting and maintenance.
• Plumbing and electrical repair experience.
• Painting, drywall, carpentry, and general repair experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine preventive maintenance in guest rooms, public spaces, and exterior areas.
• Respond promptly to maintenance work orders with professional guest service.
• Troubleshoot and repair basic plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and mechanical issues.
• Execute general building repairs, including painting, drywall repair, caulking, and minor carpentry.
• Inspect building systems and equipment to ensure proper operation and identify safety hazards.
• Maintain Engineering work areas, tools, and equipment in a clean, organized, and safe condition.
• Assist with emergency maintenance situations as needed.
• Communicate maintenance status and completed work clearly to the Engineering team.
