Responsibilities

• Receive and sort soiled linen into appropriate containers following safety practices.
• Process linen with washers, dryers, sheet spreaders, irons, and feeders; ensure quality.
• Follow hazardous chemical procedures; ensure bloodied linen not returned to supplies.
• Inspect linen for tears or sub-standard conditions; remove from guest inventory.
• Maintain clean, safe work area; keep equipment safe and functional.
• Empty lint traps after each load to ensure safety of equipment.
• Notify supervisor of malfunctioning equipment or supply needs to maximize efficiency.
• Ensure linen carts are stocked and delivered to guest room floors.
