Job summary

The Cooper Hotel in Charleston, SC seeks a Housekeeping Supervisor to lead room attendants, housepersons, and public area staff, ensuring Forbes 5-Star cleanliness and presentation. You will coach, conduct inspections, and drive excellence across guest rooms and public spaces.

Ideal candidates have 2–3 years in luxury hotel housekeeping with at least 1 year in a supervisory role, and preferably Forbes/A.A.A Diamond experience. Strong attention to detail and leadership are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; associate’s or bachelor’s degree in Hospitality or related field preferred.
• 2–3 years of housekeeping experience in a luxury hotel or resort, with at least 1 year in a supervisory or team lead capacity.
• Prior Forbes 5-Star or AAA Five Diamond property experience strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily activities of housekeeping team members ensuring rooms and public areas meet standards.
• Conduct detailed inspections of guest rooms and public spaces to ensure Forbes-standard presentation.
• Communicate room status and service issues with Front Office and Engineering in real time.
• Lead pre-shift briefings and coach staff on cleaning techniques and safety protocols.
• Provide coaching, feedback, and escalation of performance issues to leadership.
