Job summary

Salamander Hotels & Resorts is seeking a Cook (Cook 1, 2, or 3) in Charleston, SC. Responsibilities include preparing all food items per standardized recipes for Restaurants, Room Service, Employee Cafeteria and Banquets while upholding top quality, safety, and sanitation standards.

Luxury or Forbes experience is preferred; high school diploma or equivalent with culinary experience is required. Flexibility for long hours and the ability to stand for long shifts are essential.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent and/or experience in a hotel or related field preferred.
• Culinary experience required.
• Luxury or Forbes experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare all food items based on standardized recipes for Restaurants, Room Service, Employee Cafeteria and Banquets.
• Maintain cleanliness, sanitation and safety in the kitchen and work areas while minimizing waste and maximizing cost/production ratio.
• Cross-train in other kitchen related areas and assist as needed.
• Attend hotel required meetings and trainings and maintain regular attendance.
• Follow hotel standards for food preparation and safety; ensure timely service.
