Job summary

The Houstonian Hotel, Club & Spa seeks an experienced Director of Audio Visual to lead all AV operations for events, conferences, and daily hotel activities. You will manage budgets, oversee equipment, and provide innovative solutions to enhance guest experiences while maintaining the hotel’s luxury standards.

Responsibilities include planning AV for diverse events, leading a team of technicians, coordinating with other departments, and ensuring seamless technology integration across venues.

Qualifications

• Five or more years of AV management experience in hotel or conference settings.
• Familiarity with Crestron, Extron or similar AV control systems.
• CTS or equivalent AV technology certification.
• Strong budgeting and cost-control capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute AV requirements for meetings, conferences, and events.
• Lead and schedule AV technicians, ensuring safety and quality standards.
• Maintain and troubleshoot AV systems, inventory, and procurement.
• Serve as primary client contact for AV needs and solutions.
• Prepare proposals, pricing, and budgets to maximize revenue.
• Collaborate with banquets, sales and IT to align AV with guest experiences.
