Job summary

Prada's Finance Department in New York seeks a skilled accounting professional to help maintain accurate records, analyze data and support financial reporting. You will participate in close processes, ensure compliance with internal controls, and assist across the finance team.

The role requires a Bachelor's in accounting and at least 3 years in accounting, with SAP and advanced Excel skills. A luxury retail background is a plus, and the position offers competitive compensation in USD.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting is required.
• 3+ years of accounting experience; retail/luxury experience a plus.
• GAAP knowledge and strong Excel skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform general accounting and month-end close activities.
• Prepare and post journal entries, accruals and adjusting entries.
• Analyze and reconcile select General Ledger accounts, evaluating account activities to identify errors, resolve discrepancies and reduce reconciliation issues.
• Reconcile bank accounts, verify deposits, and address bank inquiries.
• Reconcile cash disbursement accounts, payroll and other financial accounts.
• Assist in audits, providing information and documentation as requested.
• Partner with other Finance Dept teams to maximize shared knowledge and communication flows.
• Maintains knowledge acceptable accounting practices and procedures.
• Support Senior Accounting Manager, VP of Finance with ad-hoc projects as needed.
