Job summary

3.1 Phillip Lim is seeking a Temporary Freelance Designer to join our WRTW team in New York. You will support senior designers on tech packs, CADs, layouts, trims and materials while contributing to seasonal research and development.

You will collaborate with the design team to keep boards and decks updated and presentation-ready, and participate in fittings, ensuring precise technical packs and fit comments are communicated across PD, merch, and production.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of design and technical experience with a luxury design brand.
• Strong understanding of garment construction, patternmaking, draping and sketching.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proactive and able to anticipate needs and issues.
• Strong time-management and ability to manage multiple projects.
• Ability to execute technical packs, technical sketches and fit comments with precision.

Responsibilities

• Support senior designer with all design related tasks, including tech packs, CADs, layouts, trims, prints, and materials.
• Contribute to seasonal research and creative development process.
• Work with assistant designer to ensure all design boards and decks are regularly updated and presentation ready.
• Communicate and work closely with PD, merch, and production departments.
• Participate in fittings and contribute as needed.
