Job summary

PARTNERS Staffing seeks a Senior Project Architect in Chicago to lead all phases from schematic design to construction documents and on-site coordination. You will collaborate with clients and consultants, and ensure design intent through to the final product.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of high-end residential experience, strong CAD skills (ArchiCAD/Twinmotion), and solid project management. Licensure is optional; a professional architecture degree is required.

Qualifications

• Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Architecture from an NAAB-approved program is required (licensure optional).
• Minimum 5 years of high-end residential architecture experience.
• Fluent in CAD and other supporting design software (ArchiCAD & Twinmotion experience a plus).
• Excellent project management skills with the ability to balance multiple projects and timelines.
• Zeal for the design of high-end Custom Homes, balanced by receptiveness to critique.
• Dedication to continuous learning and growth.
• Requires 5 years of experience with production of complete construction documents.

Responsibilities

• Develop schematic design, design development and complete construction documents.
• Integrate consultant drawings (HVAC, landscape, civil) into plans.
• Communicate and coordinate with clients, consultants, and contractors.
• Mentor and oversee junior colleagues on design, client management and practices.
• Ensure design intent and quality through site visits with professionals.
• Produce drawings and renderings, revise designs based on feedback.
• Monitor consultant relationships and support project timelines.
• Oversee permit acquisition and collaborate to expedite approvals.
• Maintain studio quality control of documents and code compliance.
