Job summary

Oscar de la Renta’s new boutique at Plaza del Lago in Wilmette, scheduled to open July 2026, is seeking an experienced Sales Associate reporting to the Store Manager.

You will meet sales goals, identify client needs, use sales tools, and provide exceptional service while collaborating with the store team. Prior luxury retail experience and a transferable client base are highly valued. Flexibility for evenings and weekends is required.

Qualifications

• Prior luxury retail experience preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to meet and exceed sales goals.

Responsibilities

• Meeting and/or exceeding individual sales goals
• Identifying and meeting all client’s needs and requests
• Utilize all available sales tools to increase and improve business results
• Comply with all policies and guidelines
• Utilize suggestive selling techniques to maximize and accessorize a sale
• Close the sale and monitor all details as they relate to alterations, shipping, delivery and special requests.
• Collaborate with entire store staff to achieve store goals
• Maintain constant floor presence to assist clients
• Build rapport with all clients to ensure satisfaction, retention and loyalty
• Prior sales experience in similar high-end luxury retail store environment with a transferable book of business/client base
• Strong interest and experience in the fashion industry and market trends
• Superior communication skills to interact with and provide the highest level of customer service to our valued clients
• Ability to clientele and increase client base
• Ability to work retail hours with flexibility for evenings and weekends
