Job summary

Mercedes-Benz of Barrington is seeking an experienced Automotive Technician to diagnose, maintain, and repair Mercedes-Benz vehicles. You will work with advanced diagnostic technology in a professional, team-oriented dealership committed to quality, safety, and customer satisfaction.

The ideal candidate has strong diagnostic ability, attention to detail, and a commitment to delivering exceptional workmanship, with 2+ years of experience and Mercedes-Benz certification preferred.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience as an automotive technician.
• Strong diagnostic skills and knowledge of electronic systems, engines, and mechanical components.
• ASE certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs on Mercedes-Benz vehicles, following dealership and manufacturer standards.
• Utilize factory-approved diagnostic tools to identify and address vehicle issues effectively.
• Conduct inspections and identify vehicle malfunctions, keeping detailed records of all work performed.
• Stay updated on the latest automotive technologies and participate in manufacturer-provided training.
• Maintain an organized, safe, and clean workspace.
• Communicate clearly with service advisors and other team members regarding vehicle issues and necessary repairs.
• Ensure all repairs are completed in a timely manner to meet customer expectations and maintain dealership standards.
• Adhere to all safety protocols and uphold the highest level of workmanship in all repairs.
