Qualifications

At least 5 years of related alterations experience, preferably in a luxury retail environment.
Strong knowledge of fabrics, sewing techniques, and specialty skills such as leather, knits, double-face, beading, and fine tailoring.
Strong attention to detail, communication skills, and client service orientation.
Ability to work under time constraints and a flexible schedule, including late nights, weekends, and some holidays.
High school diploma or equivalent and ability to lift 15 pounds.

Responsibilities

Fit garments on clients and determine the alterations required.
Alter, repair, and construct garments, including hemming, mending, adjusting seams, and completing specialty tailoring.
Communicate with clients about their needs and preferences, and provide fitting and styling advice.
Label and organize client garments, record alteration requirements, and maintain equipment in proper working order.
Collaborate with boutique colleagues to uphold production standards and deliver an excellent client experience.
