Job summary

Neiman Marcus is seeking a Tailor to perform alterations, resizing, and restyling of apparel in-store. You will assist fitters to achieve optimal fit, ensuring quality and construction standards match luxury brand expectations.

Qualifications

• Experience in a tailoring operation or industrial sewing environment.
• Ability to read English and understand instruction by Manager, Supervisor, or Lead.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure.

Responsibilities

• Alter constructed garments to meet quality standards set by Neiman Marcus.
• Alter seams, sleeves, and shoulder lines as required for fit.
• Rotate sleeves and shorten sleeves as needed.
• Shorten coat, re-line coat, or modify pockets.
• Operate and maintain sewing equipment.
• Self-inspect completed work to ensure quality standards are met.
• Complete alterations assignments from Supervisor/Lead.
• Interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written and oral form.
• Complete tasks assigned by Manager, Supervisor, or Lead.
