Project Description

About the client: Our client is a UK subsidiary of a global financial house working in multiple markets and asset classes.

About the project: We are looking to expand our team with a Senior Network Engineer. The successful candidate will help our client with BAU and Project activities, working as Senior Network Engineer in cooperation with Application Technology & Infrastructure teams to build and support complex network infrastructure in a large organization. Implementing the best technology and service practices to achieve high availability and performance of related business applications.

About our team: Rapidly expanding group in Poland and Turkey, developing and supporting a range of client projects.

About working environment: Our team primary location in Poland and Turkey, working remotely in the client environment. Currently, the team operates fully in WFH mode.

Support Work:
Call and Weekend Support Work as per shift planned by BANK to cover support and project delivery for after office hours on call and weekend working if required.

  • Normal office hours Monday – Friday
  • No overtime planned, out of hours work for system changes. Toil will be given.
  • Participation in a shift pattern to cover support and project delivery (2 in 6 shifts).
  • Early shift starts at 7:00 am; late shift cover ends at 6 pm. – Participation in an on-call rota (typically covering 7 days 1 in 6 weeks)
  • Occasional bank holiday, working as per business requirements.
  • Weekend working as per business requirements

Responsibilities:

  • Network Systems Support Engineer responsible for supporting the client data network and all other aspects of networking including firewall and infrastructure.
  • Take ownership of network related incidents and troubleshoot from first alert to resolution, with good customer facing skills when liaising with users, co-operating with other team members and internal teams, and liaising with vendors for incident resolution.
  • Maintain and create comprehensive network data diagrams and documentation.
  • Conduct project activities to specific timelines and deliver network data project tasks and objectives assigned to the team.
  • Assist with the support and maintenance of all NSS duties including data, security and infrastructure.
  • System Operation and Maintenance.
  • Maintain and monitor network performance.
  • Troubleshoot a multi-protocol system network.

Skills:

Must have:

  • Experience with the following technology stack:
  • Layer 3 Path Control, IPv4 redistribution, EIGRP based solutions
  • OSPF based solutions, BGP based solutions, Layer 2 switching
  • NX OS
  • Cisco ACI & Cisco CCSP
  • VLANs, High availability, Multicast
  • Firewall; Palo Alto, CheckPoint and Cisco
  • F5 BigIP
  • Tetration
  • Managing Cisco routing and switching
  • Network security
  • Administration
  • Minimum CCNP, preferably CCIE Routing and Switching
  • CheckPoint CCSE
  • Palo Alto ACE On
