Project Description

Virtual Desktop Engineer to support Client’s VDI operations and projects. This includes the following responsibilities & technologies areas: VMware vSphere, VMware Horizon, Citrix DaaS, Azure Virtual Desktop; system documentation and the sharing of knowledge internally with peers and leaders.

Responsibilities

1. Support modern Windows 10 golden images for all VDI environments
2. Support patching and application updates
3. Work with the VDI team to refine and implement logging, alerting, and monitoring
4. Communicate effectively with Service Reliability Engineers and DevOps team

Candidate will be working on a team of 10+ VDI Dev-Ops engineers

Skills

Must have

1. Energetic self-starter with a positive/flexible attitude
2. Hungry to learn technology in Healthcare IT
3. Proficient use of scripting technologies (PowerShell, PowerCLI)
4. Strong knowledge of systems and networking software, hardware, and networking protocols
5. Communication at all levels and the ability to write strong technical documentation
6. Experience with Logging & Monitoring tools such as Grafana, or an equivalent

Nice to have

1. Microsoft Azure, VMware certification(s) in the areas of Horizon, vSphere, or vRealize Automation, vROPS
2. Experience in coding (Powershell, Python)
3. Microsoft 365 services
4. Development experience with REST API
