Project Description

IT Database Analyst with hands-on exposure to Technology Lifecycle Management and migration of databases to the latest vendor-supported versions. Responsibilities include implementation and configuration of Oracle and MySQL databases, implementing HA/DR solutions, and developing backup/recovery strategies. Experience in database migration/upgrade on Oracle Exadata is required. The role also involves the ability to automate repeatable tasks, support problem resolution, and participate in requirement gathering. Additionally, the candidate should be able to identify and perform performance tuning as part of the migration process, participate in product evaluations, design review sessions, and data requirement meetings.

Responsibilities

  • Implementation and configuration of Oracle and MySQL databases.
  • Implement HA/DR solutions and backup/recovery strategies.
  • Database migration/upgrade experience on Oracle Exadata.
  • Ability to automate repeatable tasks.
  • Support problem resolution; participate and advise in requirement gathering phase.
  • Identify and perform performance tuning as part of the migration.
  • Participate in product evaluations, design review sessions, and data requirement meetings.
  • Open to work in extended shifts for production releases, i.e., during US daytime hours/weekends.

Skills

Must have: Oracle, Oracle Exadata, migration of databases.

Nice to have: Other databases, knowledge of IT Service Management Processes (ITIL).
