Project Description
The ideal applicant will have a minimum of 3 years of experience managing Exchange, Exchange Online, and mail routing. The applicant will also have experience with Microsoft 365 and Azure AD tenant management. Experience with Sharepoint Online, Microsoft Teams, and Microsoft Endpoint Management would be a bonus.
Responsibilities
- Participate in migration projects migrating our business partners into the Optum Corporate M365 environment. These efforts include but are not limited to; discovery of on prem environments and/or any SaaS services in use, AD Connect and Exchange Hybrid Configuration along with associated networking requirement implementation, License planning, and communicating control standards in place and approved service access patterns to our onboarding business partners.
- Provide operational support for our M365 clients resolving user reported issues as well as providing M365 usage guidance.
- Research, develop, test, and implement M365/Azure AD solutions based on feature requests from our clients, newly released M365/Azure AD functionality, or corporate initiatives.
- Collaborate with business partners to gain understanding of and provide ongoing support for their business needs.
- Demonstrate understanding of supported businesses and their business drivers.
- Demonstrate understanding of applicable business platforms/applications.
- Demonstrate understanding of the impact of supported systems/technologies on the business.
- Demonstrate understanding of applicable business performance metrics (e.g., KPIs, SLAs/SLGs, availability).
- Ensure that business requirements are clearly and comprehensively documented and understood, and properly implemented (e.g., SLAs, OLAs, TSAs).
- Ability to help translate technical process and procedure to customers.
- Follow all UHG culture, vision, mission statement and values.

PowerShell (M365 and Azure AD modules specifically), Quest Migration Manager, Quest On Demand Migration
Microsoft 365 tenant management, Exchange, Power Shell Scripting, Infrastructure support fundamentals (DNS, networking, storage, Windows OS), being a collaborative team player.
IDEAL BACKGROUND:
- The ideal candidate will have experience with O365 tenant to tenant as well as On Prem to M365 migrations, have PowerShell scripting experience, Active Directory experience, good general networking knowledge (Firewalls, routing,DNS).
- Experience managing Azure AD as well as the management of Microsoft 365 services and security features is highly desirable.
- Experience with Quest migration tools (Quest Migration Manager, Quest On Demand Migration for Email, or Quest On Demand Migration) would be helpful.
- It’s helpful if they have worked in a large, complicated environment.
- Healthcare experience would be helpful due to the strict regulations that we need to be aware of, but not necessary.
Required Technical Skills:
- A well rounded fully competent Generalist with thorough knowledge of Exchange on prem, Exchange online and Microsoft 365 workloads such as Microsoft Teams and Microsoft OneDrive.
- Must be able to analyze and interpret mail flow/routing inclusive of facets such as MX records, mail appliances and Exchange servers.
- Ability to analyze and troubleshoot message delivery issues in Exchange Online/M365 and in Hybrid environments.
- Familiarity with PowerShell scripting including but not limited to : Exchange on Prem ,Exchange online, and Azure AD.
- Familiarity with Azure AD , Azure AD Enterprise Applications/AppRegistrations, M365 Security Center.
- Demonstrate knowledge of supported operating systems/ environments/platforms (e.g., Windows Server & Workstation OS, Mac, Citrix);
- Demonstrate knowledge of supported system infrastructure (e.g., DNS, network, storage, middleware);
- Extensive Exchange and SaaS experience with migration activities concerning divestitures, mergers and acquisitions.
Soft skills:
