Project Description
Product verification & testing for Data Center routing & switching platforms – Major Enterprise Networking equipment provider.

Responsibilities

1. Work closely with development engineering, product management, and customer solution engineering team to test and validate features functionality and system test profiles for data center networks, network security and routing technologies.
2. Develop test strategy, test topology and test plan to validate the features end-to-end at scale with network security considerations.
3. Understand various customer deployments and solutions across data center networks, security, routing and switching and validate customer profiles.
4. Execute test cases and validate the solution end-to-end and document the test results on performance, scale and security.
5. Collaborate with development team to translate software requirements into high-quality test automation suites.
6. Debug and troubleshoot complex issues and work closely with the engineering team on the failures and validate the fixes.
7. Develop automation for the end-to-end solution validation and integrate the automation for seamless validation.
8. Review customer deployments and customer found issues and address any gaps in the test coverage.
9. Involve in customer deployments and customer escalations and help the customers to deploy Extreme Networks solutions in the customer environment.

Skills

Must have

1. Requires a BS or MS in EE/CS and 5 to 10 years of hands-on experience in functional, system test and automation.
2. Technical knowledge and experience on Data Center Network – IP Fabric, VxLAN EVPN, Network Virtualization Framework.
3. Technical knowledge and experience on Network Security, and Routing Protocols (OSPF, ISIS BGP, Multicast).
4. Knowledge and hands-on experience in test plan development and validating scalable data center network and network security solutions.
5. Experience in planning and building large scaled system test topologies with knowledge of test automation tools and software test tools (Spirent, IXIA) and virtualization platforms such as VMware (vCenter, NSX), OpenStack and Linux OS variants such as Ubuntu, CentOS, KVM.
6. Hands-on experience in developing test automation suites using Python or a similar scripting language.
7. Experience in performance, scale and convergence testing and analyzing performance related issues and improving the performance and convergence at system level.
8. Ability to develop and publish solution validation document and test reports.
9. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the organization: Product Management, Technical Marketing, Field Sales, Documentation and Development Team.
10. Highly motivated and self-driven.
11. Able to collaborate cross functionally to meet challenging goals.
