Job summary

Aspen Alps is seeking a Maintenance Technician to keep luxury resort facilities, systems, and equipment safe and in premium condition. The role emphasizes proactive service, attention to detail, and guest satisfaction in a high-end setting.

The position requires working knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, and painting, with flexibility for evenings and weekends. You will operate resort vehicles and adhere to safety standards while supporting seasonal projects and emergency

Qualifications

• Prior maintenance or engineering experience in a hospitality, luxury residential, or resort setting preferred.
• Working knowledge of building systems (plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, painting).
• Strong problem-solving and customer service skills.
• Ability to lift, carry, and move equipment or materials as required.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Must have a valid Colorado Drivers License, and be able to operate all Aspen Alps vehicles including trucks rigged with snow plows.
• Demonstrates technical ability in the areas of electrical wiring, plumbing systems, heat and mechanical systems, and carpentry.
• Must speak English fluently.
• Must communicate with fellow employees, staff, owners and guests.
• Must be able to work independently with little or no supervision.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and repairs on guest rooms, common areas, and back-of-house facilities.
• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, HVAC, plumbing, and other building systems as needed.
• Respond promptly and professionally to guest and staff service requests, ensuring minimal disruption to operations.
• Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in clean, safe, and orderly condition.
• Assist with property improvement projects, seasonal preparations, and emergency maintenance as required.
• Uphold all safety standards, resort policies, and regulatory compliance requirements.
