Job summary

Omni Hotels & Resorts Fort Lauderdale seeks a Public Areas Attendant to service and maintain cleanliness of lobby, restrooms, banquet spaces, and offices in line with Omni standards. You will ensure public areas stay neat, assist guests, and support supervisors with special projects while adhering to safety guidelines and providing a welcoming environment for our guests and associates.

Attention to detail, strong work ethic, and the ability to work weekends and holidays are essential.

Qualifications

• Able to maintain a 4-diamond level of service.
• Able to work with Management on special projects.
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Must be able to communicate effectively (must be able to answer basic questions about services and amenities, give directions to guests).
• Maintain a professional business appearance, attitude, and performance.
• Must be able to work a variety of shifts, including weekends and holidays

Responsibilities

• Service hotel lobbies throughout the day.
• Service all public restrooms in lobby, convention, and pool areas.
• Service the executive offices.
• Service lobby and associate locker rooms.
• Service lobby and lower lobby pre-function space.
• Ensure public areas including lobby, convention, outdoor and other areas remain neat and clean at all times.
• Keep main guest entrance neat, clean, and presentable.
• Maintain floral arrangements and plants neat with no debris in planters.
• Empty and clean ash urns and trash bins throughout property.
• Maintain water fountain and ATM areas neat and clean.
• Assist guests and associate elevators and escalators.
• Maintain a safe and secure environment for hotel, guests, and associates.
• Complete special projects as assigned by housekeeping leaders.
• Report maintenance issues or concerns.
• Offer assistance and information to guests.
