Job summary

The Houstonian Hotel, Club & Spa is seeking a Lifeguard to ensure patron safety through vigilant pool surveillance and hazard prevention. You will maintain pool chemistry logs, assist with class setup, greet members, and support events across Aquatics and Club operations.

Requirements include Lifeguard, CPR and First Aid certifications, fluent English, and a customer-service mindset. Weekend and holiday shifts are expected in a luxury environment.

Qualifications

• High school education or GED equivalent.
• Current Lifeguard Certification with CPR and First Aid.
• Speak English fluently and communicate clearly.
• Positive, friendly disposition with guest focus.
• Prior customer service experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain surveillance of patrons and secure safety in emergencies.
• Provide emergency care until EMS arrival.
• Follow procedures for pool closures and safety.
• Present a professional appearance and positive attitude.
• Maintain high standards of customer service.
• Test and log pool water chemistry on schedule.
• Inspect pool areas for hazards and report issues promptly.
• Greet members and assist with seating, towels, gear.
• Ensure inventory of loaner items is available.
• Clean and organize pool areas and facilities.
• Assist instructors before and after classes.
