Job summary

Singer Group in Torrance, CA is seeking a Bodywork Technician with extensive restoration experience to perform precise paint and bodywork on luxury vehicles. The role emphasizes attention to detail and collaboration in a fast-paced environment at Singer Group’s restoration shop.

Qualified candidates will have 5+ years in high-end automotive restoration, experience with water-based basecoats, 2K clearcoats, and urethane primers, and proven color sanding skills.

Qualifications

• Minimum five (5) years of experience in high-end luxury automobiles, hot rods, restoration body shops.
• Experience applying and mixing water-based refinish basecoats, 2K refinish clearcoats, and high film build urethane primers and sealers.
• Experience using polyester fillers to correct and shape body panels.
• Color sanding experience and gapping using block sanding methods.
• Must have high attention to detail and work well in a team environment where Everything is Important.

• Custom car or restoration experience
• Minimum five (5) years of experience in high-end luxury automobiles, hot rods, restoration body shops

• Knowledge of high-level surfacing and gaping using block sanding methods

• Team oriented, with a strong ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment to multiple deadlines

Location & Schedule:

This is an onsite position in Torrance, CA and the schedule is Monday – Friday; 1:45 PM - 10:15 PM with potential overtime. This role is eligible for $1.50 per hour shift differential.
