Job summary

The Houstonian Hotel, Club & Spa in Houston, TX seeks a Bar Server to deliver exceptional beverage service in our luxury bar and lounge. You will create memorable guest experiences with attentive, discreet service.

Responsibilities include greeting guests, taking accurate orders, delivering drinks and light bites, maintaining bar cleanliness, and staying current on menu offerings while upselling premium items.

Qualifications

• High school education, GED, or equivalent experience.
• Must have 2 years previous bartender experience in a high-volume restaurant and/or hotel.
• Must have ability to perform daily work at a high level of accuracy.
• Must have alcohol beverages and wine knowledge.
• Must be able to multitask and maintain professionalism.
• TABC certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly and make personalized drink recommendations.
• Take beverage and light food orders accurately and efficiently.
• Deliver drinks and snacks promptly, ensuring proper presentation and garnishes.
• Check in with guests throughout their visit and anticipate their needs.
• Maintain cleanliness of bar tables, seating areas, and assigned sections.
• Enter orders into the POS system and process payments accurately.
