Job summary

Lutz is seeking a Financial Intern for an in-person Omaha internship (mid-May to early-August). You will assist with projects in financial planning and investment strategy, support client plan preparation, and perform portfolio research under experienced advisors.

This internship emphasizes hands-on learning, exposure to wealth management, and the chance to explore a career as a Financial Advisor while developing core skills in analysis and communication.

Qualifications

• Strong academic credentials with a GPA of 3.0 or higher (finance majors preferred).
• Relevant work experience including summer positions or campus jobs.
• Demonstrated leadership and problem-solving skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Junior standing or above.

Responsibilities

• Assist with special projects supporting financial planning and investment strategy.
• Support the preparation and organization of client financial plans.
• Conduct portfolio research and analysis.
• Draft trade proposals to implement approved portfolio updates.
• Gain firsthand experience working alongside investment advisors.
• Learn what it takes to become a successful Financial Advisor in today’s industry.
