The University of Pittsburgh Medical Center is seeking a Lung Transplant Fellow to join a multidisciplinary lung transplant program dedicated to clinical excellence, innovation, and discovery.

Program Overview

This advanced fellowship offers comprehensive training in the care of patients before and after lung transplantation, with exposure across the full spectrum of transplant pulmonology. The fellow will work closely with experienced transplant pulmonologists, cardiothoracic surgeons, transplant infectious disease specialists, immunologists, pathologists, pharmacists, and advanced practice providers.

Clinical Experience

The fellowship provides robust, hands‑on experience in:

• Pre‑transplant evaluation and selection
• Peri‑operative and post‑transplant management
• Acute and chronic rejection, including CLAD
• Transplant‑related infections and immunosuppression
• Advanced bronchoscopic and diagnostic procedures
• Multidisciplinary inpatient and outpatient transplant care

Research and Academic Development

Fellows are expected to pursue clinical, translational, or outcomes‑based research.
