Job summary

Suffolk New College Ipswich Campus is seeking a Catering and Hospitality Assistant to cover lunchtimes (11.00am–2.00pm) on-site. You will assist with basic food prep and service, ensuring high hygiene standards while supporting both commercial catering and student activities.

Ideal candidates have catering experience, a current Food Hygiene Certificate, and a good grasp of health and safety. A fixed-term role to 2 July 2027 with some campus travel may apply.

Qualifications

• Experience in a commercial catering operation.
• Up-to-date Food Hygiene Certificate.
• Good understanding of health and safety; prepared to undertake training (e.g., first aid and fire marshal).

Responsibilities

• Assist with basic food preparation and food & drink service.
• Maintain high levels of food hygiene and cleanliness.
