Job summary

Chippewa Valley Schools Ottawa Elementary in Clinton Township, MI is seeking a Lunchroom Monitor/Floater for Grade 3. The role runs 11:00am to 1:45pm, 2.75 hours daily, at an hourly rate of $15.44 to $16.89. Immediate start, replacing Denise Korth.

Part-time position with responsibilities in supervising students, maintaining order, and assisting with lunchroom duties. Strong communication, caring attitude, and ability to follow school policies are required.

Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience working with children preferred.
• Good communication skills required.

Responsibilities

• Supervises and monitors students in the lunchroom and playground before, during, and after lunchtime.
• Ensures that students comply with school rules and communicates with students to monitor behavior while in the lunchroom.
• Assist students with opening food items, microwaving student lunches, handing out napkins, straws, eating utensils, etc.
• Wash tables during and after lunchtime.
• Must be on time at the lunchroom.
• Communicate with community, staff, and students to answer questions, disseminate or explain information.
