Job summary

Sylvania is seeking a friendly, energetic lunchroom assistant to monitor students and assist during lunchtime. You will multitask practical duties while helping students with needs and create a safe, positive environment.

You should be able to interact with children, school staff, and coworkers, demonstrate leadership, and maintain supervision and safety standards.

LILA seeks fun, energetic problem solvers who work well with others for lunchtime duties. You must be able to multitask the practical duties while helping students with whatever is needed. Hourly Range of Pay: $14.00 - $16.25

Necessary Skills:

• This position requires you to interact with students and monitor the lunchroom, including some clean-up duties


• Ability to show leadership qualities in order to work effectively with children in group situations


• Ability to maintain supervision and safety standards of the program


• Ability to be able to interact and build positive rapport with children, as well as, school staff and coworkers

Physical Requirements: This position requires vocal communication, hearing, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, reaching, standing, walking, sitting, pushing, pulling, use of hands to grasp and feel, and vision abilities including close, distance, and adjusting focus. Lifting/moving required frequently up to 25 pounds and occasionally up to 40 pounds or more. Work occasionally requires exposure to bloodborne pathogens and is generally in a moderately noisy location.
