Job summary

Education: High School diploma or GED preferred; no prior experience required. The position is non-exempt with variable pay based on primary job and hours.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates prompt and regular attendance.
• Maintains courtesy and assists students, parents and staff.
• Cleans and sanitizes cafeteria tables using proper procedures and chemicals.
• Implements cafeteria plan on a consistent basis.
• Informs administration of needs and concerns related to assigned duties.
• Assists with clean up and spills and monitors student cleanup.
• Replenishes utensils, napkins and condiments as needed.
• Demonstrates proper glove usage when handling utensils, napkins and condiments.
• Dismisses students in an organized manner.
• Adheres to FNS dress code and personal hygiene standards.
• Performs other duties as assigned by appropriate administrator.

PRIMARY FUNCTION: Monitor students conduct in the lunchroom and take appropriate action as needed to provide a clean safe environment.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Educational Level: None; High School Diploma or GED preferred

• Experience: None


• Physical Activities: Routine physical activities that are required to fulfill job responsibilities; bending, stooping, cleaning, lifting, etc.; exposure to cleaning chemicals


• Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities: Written and oral communication; appropriate demeanor with children

The Board of Education and the Superintendent may accept alternatives to some of the above requirements.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
