Job summary

Delta Center Elementary is seeking a dedicated Lunch Aide for a part-time 11:30 am–1:30 pm shift. The role focuses on supervising students, assisting with meals, and maintaining a safe, clean lunch environment.

The ideal candidate will enjoy working with children, possess strong communication skills, teamwork, and a positive attitude. Must pass background checks and be available on designated school days.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous experience working with children in a school or childcare setting is a plus.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude towards students.
• Must pass background checks as required by school district policies.
• Availability to work during lunch hours on designated school days.

Responsibilities

• Supervise students during lunch periods, ensuring their safety and well-being.
• Assist in the distribution of meals and snacks, ensuring compliance with dietary guidelines.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the lunch area, including tables and serving stations.
• Encourage positive social interactions among students and assist with conflict resolution as needed.
• Monitor student behavior, ensuring adherence to school rules and policies.
• Support students with special needs, providing assistance as required.
• Communicate effectively with teachers, staff, and parents regarding student concerns or incidents.
• Participate in training and professional development opportunities as required.
