Job summary

Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools is seeking a Lunch Room Assistant (Part-time) to support students during lunch periods under general supervision.

You will monitor behavior, assist with carrying lunch trays and opening lunch boxes, enforce cafeteria rules, and help maintain a safe, inclusive environment.

Starting date is immediate; a High School Diploma or equivalent is required and experience with elementary children is preferred; location is Charlotte, North Carolina.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience working with elementary age children preferred.
• Equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

• Monitor behavior of elementary students during lunch; enforce cafeteria rules.
• Assist students with carrying lunch trays.
• Assist students with opening lunch boxes, condiment packets, containers, drinks, etc.
• Assist students with cleaning area when finished.
• Provide reports to teachers or administrators as needed.
• Create an inclusive environment with positive communication.
• Perform related work as assigned.
