Job summary

South Burlington School District in Vermont seeks a Substitute Lunch/Recess Monitor to support students during lunch and playtime. You will supervise at the cafeteria and playground, helping to maintain a safe, orderly environment and encouraging positive behavior.

This role offers non-certified, non-union support staff status with pay of $19.28 per hour, and a comprehensive benefits package. Starting date is to be determined, with duties assigned by the Principal.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• CPR/First Aid knowledge helpful.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with students, staff, and the community.

Responsibilities

• Supervises students at lunchtime and recess to preserve order and safety.
• Monitors behavior and facilitates peaceful conflict resolution according to school policies.
• Organizes play activities and directs movement between playground, lunchroom, and classrooms.
• Assists with lunchroom clean-up and communicates needs to school staff.
