Job summary

South St is seeking Student Supervisors for the 2026-27 School Year. The role supports student supervision across classrooms, hallways, lunchroom, playground and gym, with a focus on safety and positive student interactions.

Position works 3.5 hours per day, on-line applications accepted. Pay rate is $18.33 per hour for Independent-Student Support Non-Certified roles during school days.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Experience working with groups of elementary-aged children preferred.
• Training or experience in conflict resolution.
• Ability to perform basic computer functions using Google apps, email, Internet and Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Supervise students in classrooms, lunchroom, playground, hallways or gym.
• Supervise students in designated classroom activities as assigned.
• Supervise students during breakfast or lunch periods.
• Oversee breakfast or lunch clean up.
• Clean and sanitize tables between lunch periods.
• Inform maintenance of spills in the lunchroom.
• Ensure orderly and safe movement of students in lunchroom and hallways.
• Communicate with students in a positive and supportive manner.
• Assist in creating a positive and safe environment for all students.
• Manage student conflicts using established procedures.
• Intervene in inappropriate behavior and record major issues.
• Be a positive example by modeling respectful behavior.
