JOB OVERVIEW:

Supervise students during lunch and recess periods.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Maintains a safe and orderly atmosphere in the lunchroom as directed by the principal
• Assist with clean up between lunch periods as needed
• Supervise students while outside during all seasons (or inside during inclement weather) ensuring that students are safe and following established recess procedures and rules at all times
• Ability to exercise sound judgment in making decisions regarding the safety and welfare of students
• Experience/wilingness to work with children
• Ability to work cooperatively with other building staff
• Clearance of FBI Background check required
• Physical Exam within last year of hire date
• Valid First Aid/CPR Cards preferred

QUALIFICATIONS:

• High School Diploma

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Ability to move freely to various locations within the lunchroom, playgroundother schoolsettings. Frequent standing, walking, sitting, and bending. Exposure to noise and activity of a school setting. Exposure to outdoor weather conditions.

SALARY:

$17.00/hour
