Responsibilities

• Oversees student behavior during lunch and recess to maintain a safe, respectful, and positive atmosphere.
• Supports serving of meals, helping students with choices, and maintaining cleanliness and portion sizes.
• Keeps lunchroom and playground areas clean and organized, managing waste disposal and sanitary conditions.
• Encourages active play during recess with safe, inclusive activities and teamwork.
• Assists students and fosters positive interactions among peers to support social development.
• Builds rapport with students and communicates effectively with staff about issues that arise.
• Collaborates with teachers, cafeteria staff, and other supervisors to ensure smooth transitions between lunch and recess.

KeyResponsibilities

• Supporttheservingofmeals,includinghelpingstudentswithfoodchoices,maintainingthe cleanliness of meal areas, and ensuring proper portion sizes.
• Assistinkeepingthelunchroomandplaygroundareascleanandorganizedbymanagingwaste disposal and ensuring sanitary conditions.
• Encourageactiveplayduringrecess,ensuringthatstudentsengagein safe and inclusive activities while promoting teamwork and good sportsmanship.
• Assiststudentsandfosterpositiveinteractionsamongpeerstosupportsocialdevelopment.
• Buildrapportwithstudents,addressinganyquestionsorconcernstheymayhave,andcommunicating effectively with school staff regarding any issues that arise.

Qualifications
