Job summary

Athens is seeking a HS/MS Lunch Paraprofessional at the High School to supervise students during lunch periods and support a positive learning environment.

Reports to the Building Principal, starting in October 2026. Hours are approximately 10:00 A.M. – 2:00 P.M. on full school days, with duties including escorting students, maintaining safety, and enforcing policies. Until filled.

Qualifications

• Desire to work with middle and high school students.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• First Aid and CPR certification preferred.
• Previous experience in a similar role preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide active supervision of students at lunch.
• Support positive student behavior using appropriate intervention techniques.
• Direct movements of student groups to and from the cafeteria, gym, and classrooms safely.
• Report accidents to the office in a timely manner.
• Communicate positively with students and staff.
• Work cooperatively as part of a team.
• Respect school confidentiality policies regarding students and families.
• Adhere to district and board policies and procedures.

PAY: Per Athens Educational Support Personnel Association Master Agreement

STARTING DATE: October 2026

HOURS: Approximately 10:00 A.M. - 2:00 P.M. on full days of school

Minimum Qualifications
