Job summary

Sylvania is seeking a Lunch Monitor to supervise students in the lunchroom, ensuring a safe, orderly, and clean lunch period in Dexter, MI.

The position operates 10:30AM–1:15PM on days aligned with the DCS Student Calendar, with a starting wage of $14.18/hour. Eligible for MPSERS pension and additional retirement plans; external posting and internal review noted.

Qualifications

• Good attendance is important for this position and is expected.

Responsibilities

• Assist students in entering and exiting the lunchroom in an orderly fashion.
• Help to create a positive lunchroom environment.
• Be aware of students with food allergies and monitor when necessary.
• Wipe off tables and sweep floors during and between lunches.
• Work collaboratively with Food & Nutrition staff in regards to serving procedures.
• Assists in other areas as directed by building principal.
• Reliable attendance and punctuality to assignment required.
• Other tasks as assigned.

Position Summary:

Supervise students in the lunchroom to ensure a safe, orderly, and clean lunch period.

Days/Hours:

Work days align with the DCS Student Calendar. Hours: 10:30AM - 1:15PM (approximate times/schedule based on building assignment)

Compensation:

• $14.18 per hour
• Pension plan through Michigan Public School Employees Retirement System (MPSERS)

This position does not qualify for medical benefits
