Job summary

Blue Origin in Colorado invites experienced engineers to join the Lunar Permanence program to advance safety, reliability, and mission assurance for spaceflight systems. The role focuses on hazard analysis, program reliability, and leadership across multi-partner collaborations.

Responsibilities include coordinating with NASA safety teams, delivering integrated hazard reports, and guiding design to certification milestones with strong engineering judgment and independent direction.

Qualifications

  • Expertise in hazard and reliability analyses of complex systems.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Minimum of a B.S. degree in engineering or another technical field.

Responsibilities

  • Produce safety and reliability analyses and deliverables in coordination with Blue Origin and NASA safety teams.
  • Facilitate consistent processes and deliveries from the vehicle and operations elements.
  • Produce integrated hazard reports between elements.
  • Produce program reliability assessments to identify opportunities for risk reduction.
  • Track metrics against safety and reliability products in support of design and certification milestones.
  • Perform technical work and provide technical leadership of the highest caliber.
  • Ensure the most efficient and effective product is designed, manufactured, procured, tested, qualified, and delivered.
  • Work independently toward long-range objectives and define technical objectives of assignments.
