Job summary

Leidos is seeking an RF Communications Engineer to support HALTV lunar terrain vehicle programs in Huntsville. Responsibilities include subsystem integration, RF hardware testing, and end-to-end system verification.

Candidates should have a strong RF background and be able to translate concepts into detailed requirements while collaborating with diverse engineering teams. Requirements include ABET-accredited degree with several years of aerospace experience, RF link budgets, and hands-on tool

Qualifications

ABET-accredited electrical/computer engineering degree with 5+ years of relevant aerospace experience.
Experience designing or integrating human-rated aerospace communications hardware.
Experience developing RF link budgets and working with space-based transceivers.
Hands-on experience with RF simulation/analysis tools (HFSS, CST Studio Suite, ADS).
Experience subsystem-level testing, EMC testing, and end-to-end verification.
Excellent oral and written communication skills and teamwork.
Resident of North Alabama or willingness to relocate to Huntsville area.
US citizenship with ability to obtain and maintain security clearance.

Responsibilities

Support lunar terrain vehicle system development, focusing on RF communications hardware integration.
Perform subsystem-level testing and EMC testing, and verify end-to-end communications.
Translate high-level development strategies into system requirements and final design dispositions.
Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to support product implementation and documentation.
Travel 10–20% as required.
