Blue Origin is seeking an engineer to perform thermal and fluids analyses for spaceflight systems, supporting design from concept through flight. The role emphasizes defining hardware requirements, conducting trade studies, and presenting results to stakeholders within the Lunar Permanence unit.
The ideal candidate has a BS in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering, 4+ years in space fluids/propulsion analysis, and strong MATLAB skills, with experience in Thermal Desktop/SINDA/FLUINT. U.S.

This role is part of the Lunar Permanence business unit, which develops Blue Origin's Blue Moon landers and related products. We are building sustainable infrastructure for transporting crew and cargo from Earth to the lunar surface.
As part of a hardworking team of analysts, you will conduct thermal and fluids analysis to define the performance and operations for various spaceflight systems, define hardware requirements and resolve technical challenges. You will take ownership or support analysis tasks of a complex fluid system by conducting 1D-3D thermal and fluids analysis and contribute to our product life cycle process from early conceptual design through completion of the flight mission. The analysis team contributes to deriving component requirements, system test requirements, and system sizing. You will also be responsible for documentation and maintenance of analysis inputs, models and for presenting results to stakeholders.
Base Pay Range: CA applicants $121,023.00 - $169,432.20; CO applicants $110,938.00 - $155,312.85; WA applicants $121,023.00 - $169,432.20.
