Job summary

Relative Dynamics is seeking a GN&C Automation Engineer to support the lunar mission portfolio for a Commercial Space customer. This hybrid role requires regular on site work in Houston, TX or Glen Burnie, MD and is not eligible for remote work.

You will design, develop and test GNC software, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and contribute to sensor and effector integration, testing, and performance evaluation for lunar spacecraft and satellites.

Qualifications

BS or MS in Aerospace Engineering or related field with 3-7 years of relevant experience.
Experience developing spacecraft automation software.
Experience with real-time software development.
Familiarity with GN&C hardware including IMU Star Trackers GPS LIDAR and/or OpNav systems.
Experience with SWIL and/or HWIL testing and integration.
Proficiency in C/C++ and/or Python.

Responsibilities

Contribute to design, development and testing of the GNC system for a lunar spacecraft.
Support real-time GNC flight software development, HWIL integration and performance analysis.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams across software and hardware.
Develop and peer-review GNC flight software in C and C++.
Assist in selecting and integrating GNC sensors and effectors.
Run 6-DOF simulations to evaluate on-orbit performance.
