Job summary

Vistar in Memphis, TN is seeking a warehouse associate responsible for moving product from trailer to dock using a forklift or pallet jack. You will observe safety regulations, maintain product flow, and work as a team to support the receiving process.

The role requires a High School Diploma or GED, 6 months to 1 year of warehouse/production experience, ability to lift up to 60–100 lbs, work in multiple temperatures, and pass a background check and post-offer drug test.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required or equivalent experience.
• 6 months to 1 year warehouse and/or production experience.
• Able to stand, walk, reach and lift repeatedly during shift.
• Able to lift, stack, and/or pull products up to 60–100 lbs.
• Able to work in multi-temperature environments (cooler, freezer, dry).
• Pass post-offer drug test and criminal background check.

Responsibilities

• Move product from trailer to appropriate dock staging area in a safe, efficient manner.
• Sort and segregate pallets/product as necessary.
• Check product for damages and alert receivers if needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Comply with all policies and standards.

Position Summary

Responsible for moving product with a forklift or pallet jack from trailer to another area of the warehouse dock during receiving process. Observing all safety regulations and ensuring all quality standards are met while maintaining the efficient flow of product through the production process. Functions as a team member within the department and organization, as required, and perform any duties assigned to best serve the company.

Position Responsibilities

• Move product from trailer to appropriate dock staging area in a safe, efficient manner.
• Sort and segregate pallets / product, as necessary.

Required Qualifications

High School Diploma/GED or Equivalent Experience

• 6 Months - 1 Year Warehouse and / or production work experience.
• Must be able to work the scheduled / assigned times and required overtime for the position.
• Able to stand, walk, reach and lift repeatedly throughout shift
• Able to lift, stack, and/or pull products off shelves, as well as replenish product, from various heights weighing between 10-35 pounds and generally up to between approximately 60 and 100 pounds, depending on the location, throughout shift
• Able to work in multi-temperature environments, i.e. cooler, freezer and dry
• Pass post offer drug test and criminal background check
